Monster Trait

There are four types of traits for monsters, one or two of which many monsters have.

The trait affects (1) outgoing damages of, and (2) increase of the AF (i) gauge and (ii) combo accompanied with the attack that corresponds to such a trait.

Type of Traits

  • Weak
  • Resistant
  • Null
  • Absorbent

Effect on damage

Outgoing damages to a monster with the following trait is affected as follows:
  • Weak: double the damage
  • Resist: one-quarter of the damage
  • Null: no damage
  • Absorbent: absorb the damage by up to a half

Traits are assigned with either one or more of certain (1) attack type, (2) attack method and (3) element.

The boss monster, the Queen of Book Eaters, at Wonder Forest, for example, has the absorbent trait against the magic and the weak trait against the slash method. No magic attack can deliver it any damages, and all physical attacks with slash method can double the damages.

Effect on AF gauge

Increase of the AF gauge accompanied with the attack is affected as follows:
  • Weak: double the increase
  • Resist: not affected
  • Null: not affected
  • Absorbent: no increase

Effect on AF combo

The explanation will be reserved to the post on Combo Rules.
