Ciel is an Earth type supportive attacker. Their VC is highly compatible with magic attackers especially in boosting their SPD. Their -25% PWR debuff of Hope is not cast with 100% certainty but useful in Boss and Terror battles.
Because my Ciel has more than 50 Light points, they are sometimes a member in traversing a new type of Another Dungeons in which higher Light points (360) are required to receive all the completion rewards.
